It sounded to me like you were saying that there was more Gentoo could do. Saying &quot;X got it mostly right&quot; implies X could have done better, and has a different connotation than &quot;X got it as right as it could given Y&quot;.</description>

		<description>For Genoo, what&#039;s not totally right, I think, is the idea that you had to download it all. It could have been available directly (and where applicable, pre-installed).</description>

		<description>They get it mostly right because they can&#039;t go any further.  You still have to manually download the JDK, for example.  Other than that, it&#039;s perfect.  Of all the linux distrubutions, I think gentoo is the best, fwiw.  It&#039;s just the manual download that annoys me but there&#039;s nothing that gentoo can do about that.</description>
